World Sailing has awarded the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) the 2021 Women's Match Racing World Championship following a decision to cancel the 2020 edition due to COVID-19.

In very tricky conditions, skipper Lucy Macgregor and her British Team Mac with teammates Annie Lush, Nicky Walsh, and Kate Macgregor were declared 2018 Women's Match Racing World Champions in Ekaterinburg, Russia, defeating the French Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team skippered by Pauline Courtois sailing with Maëlenn Lemaitre, Louise Acker, and Sophie Faguet.
